From mid-2008 onwards, the social recap website Whoisthefezz was becoming noticeably more cricket orientated. Which is why in September 2009 the site decided to bite the bullet and became solely dedicated to all things cricket.
Whoisthefezz Cricket is (mainly) unbiased series reviews and previews from two twenty somethings based in Australia with a love of all things cricket, from the tradition of Test Match cricket to the hits and giggles of Twenty20. All sprinkled with just the right amount of biting wit and commentary that you expect and demand from Freemo and Nimsworth.
Gregory Nimsworth
Being Sri Lankan it’s obviously a given that Nimsworth would be running a cricket site and would be a huge cricket fan. However this wasn’t always the case as during the early 2000′s Nims became a bit sick of the game in general due to the vast gap between the Australians and the cannon fodder that was everyone else. However the 2005 Ashes came along and rekindled the passion for cricket and Nims hasn’t looked back since. He hopes to one day see Sri Lanka win a major Test series and those poor South Africans gain some silverware as well.
Apollo Freemo
Roped-off boundaries, seven game ODI bi-laterals, coloured piping on test “whites”, using the term “maximum” to denote a six, slow over rates, high run rates, lack of tour matches, Bangladesh, the Two Match Test Series: These are the things that Freemo would eliminate, eradicate, exterminate from International Cricket if he could. But he can’t, so he doesn’t. Another prodigal son who left cricket during the early 2000s only to wooed back during the 2005 Winter of Content, Freemo’s claim to cricket expertise is that he can tip the winner exactly 50% of the time. No more. No less.
