The Benson & Hedges World Series Cup was a iconic series held every summer in Australia for decades. While the tri-series format continued until 2007-08, it was a Government legislation that prevented tobacco companies from sponsoring major sporting events that lead to the end of the World Series Cup and high quality competitive cricket as we knew it. Below is the list of winners to lift the World Series Cup from its inception to its end.

* 1994-95 saw the addition of a fourth team to the World Series Cup with the addition of Australia A. The matches involving Australia A were not given ODI status and are classified as List A matches.
On March 21st 1996 the Benson & Hedges World Challenge, a one off 50 over match between Australia and a World XI, was held at the MCG to celebrate the centenary of the Victorian Cricket Association. This would be the last time Benson & Hedges would sponsor a cricket event in Australia.
